Eldorado Stone recently sponsored the Responsive Home Project at the 2016 NAHB International Builders Show. The two show homes were designed by millennials, for millennials.
Only 36% of people under the age of 35 own their own home, the lowest level on record according to the U.S. Census Bureau. These concept homes were designed to appeal to that demographic. Based on research done by Ketchum Global Research & Analytics, the Responsive Home Project team designed to address the needs and wants of the millennial buyer: urban features in a suburban setting, lots of outdoor space and floor plans that can adapt to whatever life stage they are in. The homes featured a few of our stone profiles: European Ledge, LedgeCut33 and Cut Coarse Stone. Beyond the amazing stone installation, here are a few things that caught our attention at the preview event.
